Analysis of Remember My Name - Henry J. Fonda

Emily J. Fonda 1962 (Netherlands)

Ode

In the summer, without goodbye
you unfortunately passed away…
Only a memory you left behind
then the door was closed.
In acceptance I must learn
to make do with the present.

And now and then the way back
with laughter and tears to the past.
Small world, without dreams.
My hopes...someday I'll meet you again
somewhere in eternity?
