Analysis of Faith

Do I have faith?
Do I believe that my prayers are heard?
That there is a reason for suffering?
That the world can be rescued, and have real peace?
If so, what is it based on?
Is it wishful thinking?
Tradition?
Vain hope?
Stubbornness?
Or do I have a solid foundation?
Something real?
I ask, What is faith?
Does everyone have it?
Can they get it?
Does it do any good?
And I recall the sacred words
“Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for
It is the evident demonstration of things not yet seen”
“Assured” means a legal inheritance
“Evident demonstration” means proof
Where is this legal promise and this evidence?
It is there, in the pages of the Bible
And if we do not understand
We should seek help from those well versed in scripture
Those whose faith is unshakeable
Those who have seen the evidence
Those who have real faith

“Faith is not the possession of all people” - The Bible
