Analysis of At the other end

I just passed Chicago
the bus sways from side to side
some passengers fall out of the way
some go down willingly
I try to keep myself safe
the seat belt keeps my soul stuck
between the ribs
like in a maximum security prison
I try not to fall asleep
that's why I count the milestones
I have very little left

at the other end
death awaits me
with a flower bouquet
