Analysis of Where Is it now?

WHERE IS IT NOW?

The love and affection
The time and attention
The forgiving and forgetting
Where Is it now?

The laughter and smiles
The shoulders we gave one another
The sharing and caring
Where Is it now?

All gone like a wind that blows,
Or the spring flowers that glow?
Was it all a shooting star that we see
Once or twice a year,
Or the blood moon that we don't
Even notice?
Where Is it now?

All scattered like winter clouds,
Or lost like a man who wanders around?
Was it snatched by a thief,
Or commanded to leave by the chief?
Where Is it now?

The vows we exchanged
The memories we created
And the hardships we conquered
All for nothing?
Where Is it now?
