Analysis of Freedom

PRAMOD N 1985 (Hubbali)

  FREEDOM*
Freedom is not free from the slavery of enemies,
But freedom is free from our own bad habits;
Freedom is not free from poverty,
But freedom is free from corruption;
Freedom is not free from physical harassment,
But freedom is free from negative thoughts;
Freedom is not free from weakness,
But freedom is free from ignorance.

Freedom is not free from politicians,
But freedom is free from electing bad politicians;
Freedom is not waiting for someone to free them,
But freedom is to be free from fear;
Freedom is not free from violence,
But free from religious mind;
Freedom is not free from failures,
But freedom is free from high expectations;

Freedom is not free from illiterate,
But Freedom is free from a lack of wisdom;
Freedom is not free from a dangerous disease,
But freedom is free from Ego;
Freedom is not free from enemies,
But freedom is free from unforgiveness;
Freedom is not free from orphans,
But freedom is free from failing to help others.

This Poem states the real meaning of freedom. We have many misconception on freedom but this poem clarifies it. Freedom is all about deliverance from bad things and moving towards better things.
