Analysis of LIGHT OUT, OUT OF SIGHT

Ifure frank 1998 (Akwa ibom state)

Out from the shadows
like a flash of lightning,
comes a figure like that of a woman.
But she's not human.

from her mouth, escapes screams and cries horrific enough to make one flee and hide.

Bit by bit, she moves
in a slow and steady rhythm to the music played by the cool breeze of the night.

The tension heightens
as she air out louder screams
rushing out and flooding the night like the waters from the streams.

The hugs against pillows and duvets, heightens on the beds behind the curtains  seen from the windows.

The wishes, became
that the day should
lighten up.
For light out means out of sight.
