Analysis of Snowflakes in the Air

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

With all the snowflakes in the air
Just let them fall down everywhere
Upon the earth and in the sea
The love You give us sets us free

And as we move from place to place
We’ll never fail to see Your face
We will not see judgmental stares
Because we love the One who cares

Though insults may be hurled at us
We will not answer in disgust
But with the blessings that we have
Which we receive here from our Dad

I’ve never seen the world this way
You’ve opened up my eyes today
I cannot nor will I look back
But with Your Word I will attack

The enemies of peace and joy
That comes against this little boy
He will not stumble; he will not fall
God changed his heart to love them all

Sow love he must and then be still
He must be just. It is God’s will
