Analysis of Shadow Heart

Your fur is very dark
Like the shadow
Cast over my heart
Knowing how quickly comes the time
When we must finally part
11 years is not enough time on this Earth to love you
But I will love you still with each day that passes even once you've gone
For in my heart you will forever Be
And your love will always be a part of Me

About this poem

My oldest kitty is very sick, and it is time to say goodbye very soon, as he is suffering and I cannot let him be in pain just to keep him by my side. I will miss him terribly though. He is my sweet boy and I love him so much.
