Analysis of Harley’s in Heaven

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

When I was much younger
And before I knew the Lord
I seemed to have a need for speed
But that is true no more

I’d rather just go cruising
And enjoy the ride I have
And make the most of all my time
And put my trust in Dad

My Father tells me what’s to come
And how I should behave
He guides me into all the truth
So, I won’t be enslaved

The coolest guys in heaven
That are living under God
I think might all be bikers
And I hope that I’m not wrong

So, if you see some ride up
To meet Jesus in the air
Don’t be surprised about these guys
Because they’ve learned to share

They used to only do what’s wrong
But now they strive for right
If you need some good companions
These are not afraid to fight

They’re always riding on somehow
To just enjoy the day
The most important thing for them
Is to walk in Jesus’ way
