Analysis of Befitting of Profile

I’m branded by many as that raisin-in-
the-sun; that Brotha whose tresses are
like sheep’s wool; feet like burning
bronze; w/ fire-flamed eyes. My
pigmentation—, the color of melanin
rind; that black knight, who, under a
pale moon shines. But more than that,
I’m an Afrikaan whose forbearers hail
from West Africa—; along the Ivory
Coast. A descendant of Israelites; on
ships, my human vessel once splayed—,
stretch, widened, twisted, bent—, and
on auction blocks displayed.
