Analysis of Eloquent eulogy for the insatiable rain

Nidhi Agrawal 2007 (Varanasi)

Eloquent eulogy for the insatiable rain

Grey clouds covered the whole sky dark.
Hiding the sun behind the mists.
Tiny droplets of water,
Fell on my closed eyelids.
Drenched in the rain,
I swayed with no shame.

The leaves were dancing,
And the feathered creatures too.
They were swirling on the
rhythmic beat of the monsoon.
Knowing it would come again,
Their enthusiasm was yet the same.

With that one lightning streak,
I ran to my abode.
Staring at the storm,
Scary yet calming for my heartcore.
I fell in love with the rain,
It soothed my inner flame.

The raindrops were slackening
Dribs on the leaves were sparkling,
As it was exposed to daylight once again.
The cloudburst had almost created an ouse,
in the streets of the city.
Yet I wish it would come more frequently.
