Analysis of Save Me
Anika Felicien 2003 (GT)
Every breath feels like white-hot blades piercing my lungs
Lit by a fire
From the depths of my soul
A soul that I'm not even sure exists anymore
The pain and agony from being a constant burden
Hidden behind a smile like a curtain
I sink deeper into a dark and cold abyss
Clawing at nothingness praying for a form of release
"Always smile, don't frown" a damn show i rehearsed
My heart gets heavier and I'm so accustomed to hurt
Harder and tedious each task gets
I fail to meet every requirement
Life flies past me idly by
And like a goddamn infant all i can do is cry
Losing myself and my sanity daily
And not one person sees
I'm so social so where are my friends and family
Silently screaming and crying
My tears have become my nightly lullaby
I don't want to live but it pains me to die
I am begging for release
From the cold clutches of whatever it is that's come over me
Somebody, anybody just come and save me
