Analysis of Weak
My mind spins in circles as the constant questions run through
The things that I know intertwine as I try to figure out what I need to do.
The darkness closes in as I sink deeper down the hole
The endless cycle of thoughts threaten to consume my soul
I hear the stories of the heroes, the ones strong enough to rise
But what about the weak? The ones with the unheard cries?
The ones that hide, afraid others will see
At the same time praying that someone will hear their plea
Wishing they weren’t a burden on those that they love
Praying for strength they have none of
Looking in the mirror each day, hoping to catch just a glimpse of some value or
worth
Constantly searching for their place on this earth
She once fought for her dreams, standing against any who tried to tear them
apart
Holding on so tight that when her dreams shattered, so did her heart
She looks around at the mess at her feet
Shocked and bewildered at her defeat
She gave everything she had to make her dream come true
Just to fail repeatedly despite what she tried to do
Everything she thought was a step forward she found was another step back
Every decision she thought was right, led her down the wrong track
Hurt so deeply the wounds won’t seem to heal
Broken so badly there is nothing but pain for her to feel
Walking away leaving everything behind
Believing the path she was choosing held more love for her to find
But each heart that she believed held a place for her
She found that her cries for help didn’t even cause a stir
Desperate for someone to listen and care
She saw light where only darkness stood, letting it in completely unaware
Now the pieces she struggled to pick up before
Are at her feet shattered even more
Feeling unloved, unworthy, a burden, and a failure with no where to turn
Losing trust in people and herself, she looks back to see the bridges burn
Everyone has time to share with her what she should do
But none can spare a minute to listen to what she is going through
She hears the whispers and the judgements that are cast
But none who are trying to understand her past
No one stands beside her to encourage, just to condemn
Leaving her alone out on that fragile Limb
Scared frozen, unable to make even the smallest step
The damage from previous steps her memories have kept
The disappointment in herself for not being able to do more
Cripples her from choosing a future to fight for
Her heart so broken yet her love she is still willing to give
Still searching for the answers how the heroes overcame the lives they had to live
