Analysis of Don’t Deny His Advances

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

So now we’re just relaxing here
We’re on the road again
It’s only You and me O LORD
A Lover and a friend
The time for LOVE is drawing near
The sun begins to set
With justice and compassion
There will be no more regret

There will be no more crying
All her tears are wiped away
The fate of all the wicked
Will be sealed on judgment day

We’ll all sit at the table
That has been prepared for us
Some will eat eternal life
But others only dust
Have you made love with Jesus yet?
I think that you should try it
There is no greater love than this
Though many will deny it
