Analysis of A Snowman's Smile

Alexander Barajas 1980 (United States)

Icicles forming, Christmas lights
 glowing.
 Snowflakes falling upon my window.
 A snowman's smile, smiles back.

Wondering whether or not he feels
alone. I ask and ponder. He just stands
 and smiles.
With his tin can tomato hat, charcoal
eyes, button nose and faded smile.

He seems not to worry. Snowman ó snowman grace me with your smile. Perched on my window I see that old man winter doesn't do harm.
Gaze upon a gloomy sky. You tip your hat
and take a bow. For the hearts and minds that stare. A lovely winter day.

I open the door a familiar face smiles
back never losing site that the warmth
of Christmas is here. With the laughter of children and snow fights going I bid you a Good day!
Mr. Snowman until we meet again.
