Analysis of Born Again
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
The prophets who prophesied,
About that grace that was yours;
Searched while they did abide,
Salvation took some detours.
They inquired carefully,
Inquiring what person;
Of the time diligently,
The Spirit of Christ has done.
Subsequent glories buffered,
Revealed to them for serving;
Predicted as He suffered,
Even though undeserving.
For the glory should follow,
In all that has been announced;
How the blessings will then flow,
After evil is denounced.
Those who will preach the Good News,
And through the Holy Spirit;
A living hope that they choose,
Assured what they inherit.
