Analysis of Should I?
My past has been long and sad,
But it's just the same old song now,
One of heartbreak, one of abuse,
How can I hone my skills if I'm being used,
By friends I should trust?
Should I let my skills hide?
Should I lock them up and throw away the key, So nobody can ever see,
Why people use me?
I'm tired of all these dreams,
As they hide the truth.
Dreams that sugar-coat the past,
Will I overcome these struggles,
Or will they forever last?
Should I trust, when I've been broken?
Should I listen, when I've been ignored?
Should I open up, when I've been forced shut?
How can I overcome my past,
When I have no help,
Aside from those that I should be helping?
Should I show my true colors,
Or continue to hide?
