Analysis of Saying Grace
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
In the middle of destruction, we’re sharing the good news,
But the people of the world still have far too many shoes,
Blessed are the feet of those who only walk by faith,
Because they know that in the end
They will be saved by grace.
They don’t have many friends
And their possessions fewer still,
But they won’t be the ones that Satan overcomes and kills,
They travel down the narrow road
And enter through its gate.
Christ Jesus is their only Lord, for him alone they wait!
Why do the people of the world seek things and great possessions?
Their wicked hearts deceive them all,
Life here is their obsession.
There is no need to follow in the path
Of their misfortune.
The Lamb of God has died for you!
Let Him become your portion!
