Analysis of Mixed Emotions
Candi Carroll 1984 (Tallahassee)
Every since God took you
This is really rough on me
With so many emotions
That I need to set free.
I don't get to watch you
Stand there and say I do
Or buy your first house
With a bedroom or two.
I don't get to watch a child
Be able to call you dad
I believe you would be good
And this makes me mad.
We didn't get enough time
To be a family and grow
As my mind runs through
The memories that flow.
