Analysis of UGLY

Kaitlynn Samuels 2005 (Cape town)

She was a good person,
But some people couldn't see that version.

She drowned herself into shame, thinking what was thought of her,

She was the one to blame.

Life flashed passed her
Not realising what was happening around her.

Sinking
Drinking
Starting but not finishing what she started with.

She just gave up like good weather Turing into thick mist.

Her beauty she could not see.
Her will for life was almost deplete.

How we changed our future into a plant that could not be nurtured.

She forgot who she was.

They destroyed her.
They ridiculed her.

Why? You ask

All because of one word, one undesirable chord

A note that cannot be played on an instrument that used to make you away.

Why, you want to know?

Take a bow

Called her ugly!
