Analysis of Why?
Why does it feel illegal
to want to be around
someone that makes you feel
after all these years, found?
Why does it feel illegal,
this bond between us?
Why does everyone around me
make such a fuss?
Why does it feel illegal,
wanting to live with them,
because in a world of rocks,
they are the only gem?
Why does it feel illegal,
a love of this kind?
I wish others’ words
would stay out of my mind.
