Analysis of New Life in Christ
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
If we have been united,
In a death the same as His;
It should make you excited,
Enabled to pass the quiz.
The same through resurrection,
The old self was crucified;
For the sinful insurrection,
That His Spirit purified.
If you died you are set free,
For we believe that we live;
By the Savior His decree,
To confess God will forgive.
Jesus was raised from the dead,
And will never die again;
Through salvation, we are fed,
For eternal life that we gain.
For the death, He died to sin,
But in that He lives to God;
Our faith makes us begin,
To live life no longer flawed.
Conceive yourself dead to sin,
And alive through Jesus Christ;
Deletes the past that had been,
To be heavenly enticed.
