Analysis of Burning (to be released)
Is something burning?
No, I don’t mean toast
I am talking some issue
Been on your heart
In your mind, for days.
A poem in the birthing.
Could God be helpful
In the unraveling?
Talk to Him.
Sure He already knows.
But He thrills in the conversation.
Few of His kids
Give Him serious time.
They just, petition, blab.
Petition, blab. Complain.
He would say
Close your mouth.
Here’s what I would suggest.
And when they start calling
Your poems sheer genius
You had better…
Give proper credit.
Keep the head from swelling.
