Analysis of The Godly Description
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Who shall sojourn in His tent,
And dwell on His holy hill;
Who shall the Father have sent,
Saving those in Israel.
He who would walk blamelessly,
And speaking truth in His heart;
Doing what is righteously,
Speaking the Word to impart.
Who does not curse with His tongue,
Does not ill to His neighbor;
No evil that would be flung,
Willing to help with labor.
Whom vile people despise,
But honors who fear the Lord;
Speaks wisdom to make us wise,
That we walk in one accord.
Who does not put out money,
Nor would take not any bribe;
But offers milk and honey,
To all of those who abide.
He who does these things is pure,
And He shall never be moved;
Those who follow He will cure,
Comprehension is behooved.
