Analysis of Granting Promises
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
No unbelief had made him waver,
Concerning the promise of God;
But grew in faith in His Savior,
Trusting and honoring to laud.
He gave glory unto the Lord,
Fully convinced God was able;
The promise would not be ignored,
Not to turn into a fable.
His faith counted as righteousness,
The words not written for his sake;
Rather by giving joyousness,
That his heart and soul would awake.
But for us as well who believe,
That Christ as our risen Lord;
In knowing what we will receive,
When we remain in one accord.
He was rescued for our sin,
Raised for our vindication;
Cleansed us where corrupted within,
Redeemed for justification.
