Analysis of Where Are You God
Before I got saved I was looking for God in all the wrong places
I looked for Him in my friends
I looked for Him in the child in me
I looked for Him in boyfriends
I looked for Him partying
I looked for Him the clothes I wore
I looked for Him in the food I ate
I looked for Him in pleasing other people
I looked for Him in taking the back seat to others
I looked for Him on the bus, the train, the plane
I looked for Him everywhere and couldn’t find him
Suddenly I stopped looking and got still
I heard a small voice say to me
I’ve been here waiting patiently for you to stop looking
