Analysis of Episode

My deepest secrets, in the open
Why do they watch, me?, broken

It's really starting to freak me right out
The challenge ahead, the insatiable doubt

This is simply not like me,
There're cameras recording me up in the tree

No choice now but to put on a show
Let the dancing and the impressions flow

The Mrs questioning my every move
"What is it you are looking to prove?"

I thought she loved me, she put on an act
Oh well, I need to keep myself in tact

Up in my face
Called a disgrace

Do you want me to break?
I will lay down and flake

Knees to the floor
Can't take anymore

Here they are, the boys in blue
I'm staying put, not talking to you

They gather around, force me to floor
I lift with my legs, let out a roar

Pepper to the eyes
Beneath five guys

Let's get some air
Just hang in there

This story is true
What my mind told me, was all that I knew

About this poem

An insight in to the mind and experience of a psychotic episode. A true story translated in to rhyming poetry. With a tense audio track and video imagery to reflect the sadness and impact on my partner due to the state of my mind at the time.
