Analysis of Tea Zen 2

Mind numbing insights

Reverberations in echoes taking flight

Never ending chains of equations not yet tamed,

Remain, strewn along our path

unbroken, kept just beyond reach,
not quite holding us back.

On we proceed,
preset with a consciousness
lent by a primitive urge to splurge,
get the girl/guy

Fed by dreams of little consequence
things to do before we die,

driven by will or whim till the end

Gifted with an extreme sense of humor/irony
Kept loosely in line within a cloud of civility,

A thing called “Common sense”

to keep us on edge of sanity
and inhumanity,

in case we need a parachute

As our astral plane
shifts from a cruise/or climb
Into a crash dive.

So, we can save ourselves
for the next try to get it right

while we’re still half out of breath
from a near miss with the kiss of death

one catastrophic episode
defying a quick drop into a Hell,

we seemingly have made for ourselves,
only heaven knows.
why…
we persist on trying our luck.

Then there’s this thing Love…
And countless promises bent by circumstance.

As the enchanted wind deeply exhales
Gently sways tree branches in ways.

Which call out as we reach within to listen ...
with our hearts

As streams of unforeseen circumstance
rising from shadows, overtake the path we’re on,

overwhelming memories march
Like countless numbers, mists of fog or smoke

but leave no visual footprint
to mark position,
give us hope.

To process/attempt to
comprehend the where’s/why's

As surmised, when we realize
Life has been moving so fast

in settings unfamiliar. We can barely cope
Sticking to the course of our imaginings

When making room for our minds to climb
To higher ground than we've ever been...

While looking down over the river valley
From our perch high above the clouds

Peering deeply at the intricacy of the labyrinth
With continuously arriving freight trains
of alternative views/bits of particles of clues

to sift through the drifting details
with few reminders,
spiral pathways unwinding before us

With incense and wind chimes …
to mark each page as it's
Being written in the book of life

And as each phase we transcend
we climb to …each new plateau

Inviting others to ascend
to places we have been,

giving everyone, a friend,
who comprehends
where we are going ...

bringing further clues to unravel,
knowing when… to marinate and blend

ideas, when/If we reach the state of mind…
either push/play or rewind

As each new particle of evidence
comes to focus

Every facet of this compound/complex mystery
begins to become more aligned by spiritual cues

Admission granted when we choose
To give respect and/or pay our dues

On a path we have yet to master/sitting down
before a campfire protected from the wind

A rest stop for the consciousness.

Taking respite, despite the pressing needs
of things begging importance

Lost in the fray of life's everyday complications
Caught up in meaningless confrontations

Designed to take us
one small step further into alignment.

In moments caught up by the current
In the tides at flow.

Free of the flurry of necessity
Of organized and focused activities

Before moving on to the next phase of the day
to bask in the receding sun/mind bending
Around a campfire …

as if upon an island amidst the clouds,
surrounded by majestic mountaintops,

the perfect backdrop
For this reflective introspective, urge

and so, i take my tea

gathering a small handful of wilted leaves

Tossing them into my cup of water
not quite steaming hot

Closing my eyes for just
…a moment.

Pausing to consider

Taking long minute sips

And ponder Not why
