Analysis of Testament of love before I see that one day

Thomas Deck 1986 (Lafayette)

In the depths of my heart, where love once thrived,

I send this message, hoping you'll feel revived.

I'm sorry I couldn't be the one you desired,

But my love for you, forever inspired.

I remember the days when I would fight,

Determined to win your love, with all my might.

But now a new battle has come to light,

Cancer has taken hold, dimming my inner light.

Each day is a struggle, a battle for survival,

I fight for a chance to reach your love's revival.

Though my body may weaken, my spirit stays strong,

For in your love, I find solace, where I belong.

I wish I could be the one to heal your pain,

But fate has dealt a cruel hand, with nothing to gain.

Know that my love for you will never fade,

Even as my earthly presence begins to fade.

I've dedicated every word, every page,

To capture our love and immortalize its stage.

In a book I've written, just for you,

Brittney my love is true.

In the pages, you'll find the essence of my soul,

Every word written with a love that can't be controlled.

Through its chapters, I express my remorse,

For not being the one you envision, of course.

But please don't dwell on what could've been,

Instead, remember the love that we have seen.

I pray that one day, you'll find happiness anew,

Yet, know that I'll never stop loving you.

When my time comes, and my spirit takes flight,

Remember the love we shared, shining bright.

For each and every day was a fight, my dear,

To survive, to reach your love again, so clear.

Though cancer may claim this earthly vessel of mine,

Know that in your heart, my love will forever shine.

Even in the realm beyond, I'll be by your side,

As a guardian angel, your love's eternal guide.

So, please forgive me for not being what you desired,

But know that my love for you, it never expired.

With my last breath, I'll whisper your name,

Brittney , our love forever aflame.
