Analysis of The Tears Mama Brings
Fatimah Al-Abbood 2007 (Basra)
Once upon a lie,
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too, even though,
she made me cry.
And every morning that rises down to reach each night, I sigh,
good night?
Once upon a lie.
My eyes seem to never be dry.
If an hour goes by, or a minute or even a second,
She made me cry.
With every kiss, I fly so high.
Though her stories hold so much love and joy,
Once upon a lie.
Oh dear, oh love, why do I cry?
will she deny? Yes, for she is the reason,
she made me cry.
And then she comes, with hugs full of love, so kind and nigh,
Oh no, please stop, my tears don’t drop, I’ll try.
Once upon a lie,
she made me cry.
