Analysis of Our Words
They say a picture paints a thousand words,
But perhaps a thousand words create tales unheard.
Why prioritize reposts on social media's stage,
Over our original thoughts, a unique mental page?
In this fast-paced world, so materialistic and grand,
We often conform, to fit in, and take a no stand.
Why grant others the power to bruise our hearts so,
Manipulating emotions, making us bend, unable to let go?
We abandon our values to meet their emotional plea,
Neglecting ourselves, accepting insecurity.
As heartbreak weaves its painful threads anew,
We grant permission to be mistreated, it's true.
A sign on our foreheads, silently it says,
"Walk on me, it's okay, I'll endure it in many ways."
We fail to respect ourselves, to value our worth,
Neglecting what we believe, from the moment of our birth.
Silenced, we shy away from confrontation's strife,
Unprepared to cope with the challenges of life.
We stew in depression, cry tears in our beds,
Passing these burdens on to our children, our threads.
Movies and TV show suicide as acceptable, it's seen,
But why not elevate words above such a tragic scene?
Why can't a documentary on love take the lead,
Over one depicting fortune, overdose, and greed?
Not to diminish the pain held within each heart,
But to show that belief can mend any broken part.
Mental strength should not be reserved for easy days,
But to endure, in every moment, in countless ways.
When challenges arise, let's pray our fear away,
It won't vanish overnight, but strength will hold sway.
In the words of faith, if you choose to believe,
In the words of true friends, those who hurt and grieve.
For we are all broken, deep inside we bear scars,
Some wounds run deeper, like distant stars.
In our hearts, stitches mend more than on our arms,
The stains in our souls eclipse any eye's harm.
Pictures may capture moments, but words linger on,
They reveal our coping process, our hope at dawn.
In the end, it's our words that truly convey,
The essence of our journey, come what may.
