Analysis of cacophony
words flow across pages
ink bleeding through paper thin
my stories my life my dreams
soak into the pages
whispering steadfast melodies
speaking of my tales,
the pages rip
leaving a gaping hole
an open abyss
for you to gaze into
and glimpse my
raw, torn, bleeding soul
while the letters swirl
concocting stories
in black and white
for a mere moment
you stare into the words
they move about
arranging themselves
forming pictures
of the times we left behind
ink on paper
black and white
no more shades of gray
the truth stares you in the eye
searing from within
the words reveal too much
open up my heart
bare my naked soul
under your searching eyes
i slam the cover down
the words disappear
taunting and teasing
my soul has been hidden
and the mask is back in place.
