Analysis of Lynched

Embarrassment and guilt and shame
Bubbling up they start to frame
My mind is blank, I cannot speak
My body frozen, I am weak
My heart still beating, I try to claim
I am not the one to blame!

I didn't do it! I didn't know!
Wasn't me, no proof to show
Somewhere else I must've been
Yes it's true, I did not sin
Do not let the liar win!

They won't believe, I'm named deciever
I only wished that I could see her
Smiling again before the fall
From the roof 6 stories tall
An accident, you'll see the same
I am not the one to blame!

In chains I'm taken to a tree
A braided rope is made for me
Wrapped 'round my neck, I start to cry
They ask for words before I die

In time you'll see I told the truth
You've found me guilty with no proof
You will not find my soul in hell
I wasn't why your daughter fell
So I will be untouched by flame
I was not the one to blame!
