Analysis of False Start

How long does the list go?
The first I can remember was Victor
But that man did not love me so
Then I met Adeola in his sector
The sunlight barely shined on that union
Making my eyes teary, I was always cutting onion

Of course, I got over it and had a different mishap with love
But now again I am back
With Adekunle who I thought was sent from above
But about me he does not give a jack
And once again with an all too familiar feeling, I am left
Lump in my throat, tightness in my heart, love bereft.

Do I fall in love too easily?
Or am I hopeless in love?
Do I fall for the wrong guys freely?
Or do I self loathe and not self-love?
Or perhaps it is my loneliness.
Making me desperate for hearth’s coziness

The agony within is too hard to bear
Is it my heart that is to easily swayed?
Do I truly love them or do I just despair?
Or am I fated to love, endlessly betrayed?
I think I need some form of healing
To forever stop this unbearable feeling

As the cycle repeats, love’s intricate art,
In this journey of love’s endless part,
A dance of hope and a meeting of heart,
Do I find content or a false start?
In the echoes of longing and shadows of doubt
I navigate this maze, seeking love’s route.
