Analysis of Beautifully Broken
My pieces are torn and ragged, showing their age no doubt, like a cherished quilt of patches that are worn loud and proud.
For so long I resented the tatter and frivols that would show, now I see the beauty that only time can let you know.
The temptation to trim the edges and smooth the wrinkled lines, still weighs heavily in the back of my mind.
Courage and strength are what it takes to keep them in place, fearing not the opinions of others who voice their disdain.
Each tatter tells a story of another place in time, each frivol a reminder of the life I've left behind.
Only time will tell as the frivols continue to grow, how long I'll hold together and what I'll need to sew.
For now, I'll just wrap up tight in the warmth of each and every strand and hold tight to my courage by holding my own hand.
