Analysis of Child

Poetic Marie 2003 (Baltimore, MD)

I wish I wasn’t part of you
You don’t realize what you put me through
I’m your child, but it’s like you never knew
I wish I wasn’t stuck to you like glue
I can’t ever let go of you
I’m forced to be part of you
Why  can’t you just go away
You make me feel in disarray
I’m your child, it’s like you never knew
I don’t wish to be apart of you
