Analysis of The Broken Spotlight
I do not want the spotlight on
Me as I go through life.
And even if it is soon gone,
It fills my mind with strife.
The center of attention will
Not ever be for me.
I'd rather go unnoticed 'till
The good Lord welcomes me!
A broken spotlight will do fine;
It won't illuminate
Mistakes I make from time to time
Nor focus on my fate.
