Analysis of AMERICAN RHAPSODY: RING OF FREEDOM

AMERICAN RHAPSODY: RING OF FREEDOM

Long ago a bell began to ring
It rang as Revolution began to burn
The bell rang as we rejected a king
It rang as our Freedom we did earn
Though it strained, and even cracked
The bell, it never fell silent or broke
Faith and Grace covered what lacked
And still the bell loudly spoke
America, let Freedom ring
In this rhapsody I now sing

Liberty Bell rang, through peace and war
Proclaiming Freedom through this land
God rode in power riding before
As patriots answered the call to stand
As long as Freedom rings, Grace calls still
Stand Patriots, stand ye saints, stand all
In Faith we will be the city on a hill
Lifting Freedom's loud call
America, let Freedom ring
In this rhapsody I now sing

Maybe the bell has finally broken
Maybe Liberty will never again ring
But greater things our Lord has Spoken
That have stood, despite everything
Our nation may be defeated within
As fire burns our broken wings
God can still forgive our nation's sin
God can still heal all things
America, let Freedom ring
In this rhapsody I now sing

Ring! Bell of Liberty! Ring out loud!
While faithful men rise and stand
A tea party will draw a crowd
Across the Brave's land!
While Americans can still rise,
Freedom need not fail
Wave Old Glory in the skies
And lift a Rebel yell!
America, let Freedom ring
In this rhapsody I now sing
AMEN

About this poem

Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? Romans 2 4
