Analysis of AS HE HAS LOVED THE CHURCH

Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)

AS HE HAS LOVED THE CHURCH

Sometimes I just don't know
Where we're gonna go
You can make it so hard to love you
So I asked the Lord, what should I do?

And the Lord said unto me,
"Love her when she's angry,
And love her she's glad
Love her when she's happy or sad
Love her when she's weeping,
Wide awake or sleeping
Love her as each day starts
Love her through the tough parts
Love her when she's well or she hurts
Love her--- as I have loved the church!"

I know there's things I've done and said
That make you think I've lost my head
I know sometimes you just wish I'd go away
Listen girl, to what I have to say...

I'll Love you in the good time, and in the bad
Love you through all the trials that we had
Love you through the better and the worse
Love you through the blessing and the curse
And when the rain starts to fall
I'll Love you through it all
Love you In sickness and health
Through poverty and in wealth
I will Love you, I will tend your hurts
I will Love you---as He has loved the church
AMEN
