Analysis of K.N.O.W. (Knowledge never offers Wisdom)

I know
You know
We all know

It’s how we live
And how we grow
It’s the method
We all use to show
The existence of the flow

From here to there
And near and far
We all exist with the scar

Of the knowledge in our head
That one day you’re here
And another your dead

We all know it
Doesn’t need to be said
That someday
We all rest in our eternal bed

And review the pages of our life
Bookmarking the passages of our strife
Assessing our regret
Measuring if our goals were met
Looking back at the past
Wishing for a repeat of the last
Begging time to stand fast

I have the knowledge now
To make it all right
My hindsight
Gives me perfect sight

But we all know
It doesn’t work that way
You roll the dice
And make your play
And hope you don’t become eternal prey

For the lack of wisdom, you possess
And the knowledge you wield
It’s an intellectual
Broken shield

It’s simply not enough to be smart
You must keep wisdom in your heart
This is why we all know…
