Analysis of Damage

In the murky waters of my mind
Your bright light is hard to find
Twisting the truth so I have a reason
A reason to be angry and depressed

Uttering hurtful words to make a point
The point is never made as the pain is too much
Driving each other mad with the cat-and-mouse game
Never able to catch up no matter what

Am I right or I just can’t see how wrong I am
Is it the same for her
Not able to trust the simple things
That holds no threat

Hoping it solves itself
Knowing that it won’t
Because I won’t let it
I have control issues when I hurt

About this poem

I wrote during a low point in my daily dealings. Feeling and knowing that I cause most of the problems in my relationship and I won't let it solve quickly.
