Analysis of The Merriment of Miss Merle
Kaiya Michelle Hamilton 1983 (Michigan)
The Merriment of Miss Merle
The giggling girl inside her,
laughs joyfully out loud!
Contagious joy flows through her,
infecting everyone she encounters with a smile.
As the song so cheerfully declares,
she has "sunshine on a cloudy day"!
The merriment of Miss Merle
inspires us all to live life to the fullest in every way.
Wielding the wisest anecdotes with positivity;
she morally, influences the young.
Prayerfully, she protects her loved ones,
speaking life through the power of her tongue.
With heart fixed steadfastly on Jesus,
she seeks daily to bring light to the world.
Her spirit is so outrageously happy and hopeful!!
There is just nothing like the merriment of Miss Merle.
If you are blessed to know her
you have found a good friend indeed.
She listens, advises, consoles, and shows guidance
to those around her who are in need.
Everyday, miracles surround us;
intricate blessings, great and small.
And though mercy may come in many forms,
at some point it has graced us all.
Angels are amongst us unawares,
and blessings can take human form in the world.
May God bless all who are fortunate enough to
experience
the merriment of Miss Merle.

About this poem
The Merriment of Miss Merle is a poem about a really awesome individual by the name of Merle Williams. I met Merle through a daily morning prayer group I joined in the fall of 2023 called "Rise and Shine Prayer Call". She and I hit it off immediately and became friends. I wrote this poem to honor her for her birthday, (which is March 24th). I think everyone should be blessed to know someone as cool, honest, and loving as Miss Merle.
