Analysis of Vacant Life
Vacant Life
By Matthew Mernagh
Could you be an angel by my side,
Could you wipe the tears that I still hide?
Could you dance with me throughout my dreams,
Could you free me from this harmful scene?
Could you make my days no longer bad,
Could you end my time of being sad?
Could you help me win my biggest fight,
Could you count the stars with me each night?
Could you be the one who knows me best,
Could you lay my loneliness to rest?
Could you show me things I’ve never known,
Could you rebuild me and be my home?
Could you mend my heart and make me whole,
Could you kiss my lips and soothe my soul?
Could you take my hand and be my wife,
Could you terminate my vacant life?
