Analysis of Coal once forced shines brightest
Caught in a storm of rememicent danger
Order knocked into chaos with vicious laughter
A raw emotion hidden within a shattered chest
Lightning flashes and a tumble for the failed child
Offal flies from a sewage, cracks within the very foundation
Night comes and is but a shadow to reach towards
Caught tight by the brute in the shadows wrath
Echoes within the jagged daggers dripping viscus memories
Fighting for breath my back bows as I kneel
Often asking of the light for penance of heart
Rugged is the road traveled through the confined silence
Crushed beneath the weight of pure emptiness
Entering risks tumble through the air forcing to dodge
Dark shadows lurk always at the edge of that silence
Struggles within the tumult of the storms lashing winds
Holding strong against the force winds
Iron runs over the hot coals and hardens as it runs to ice
"No," he shouts towards the violence of the storm
Every fiber wanted more but forced to bear his strength
Since his time began the storms wrath flared in straps flying
Baying to the heavens he found a strength
Robbed of warmth though it is lined with ice
Into scars forming a thin wall each stitched with threads
Gone are the threads to the past yet valued threads stay
Holding strong only because there has to be some light
Each shadow should have a ray or light to hold it at bay
Strong are good memories but sometimes they are edged
Though they hurt sometimes they are the most precious

About this poem
This is a poem about my inner struggle of a life where everyone only leaves a shadow and the memories of those shadows sometimes bear weight but I have to struggle on because I've done it before.
