Analysis of ETERNITY IS BEGUN

ETERNITY IS BEGUN

I wish that all the battles fought
Could bring me the peace I sought
Sometimes it seems I suffered in vain
Lord deliver me from my pain
Though the mountains crash down
And my giants litter the ground
The next one takes it's place,
God send me now, Your Grace

Because the battles just don't end
Oh dear Lord, here we go again
I stand in the Grace You alone send

I'm here on my spirit's battle field
And never has my fath to yield
But tomorrow, it brings another giant
How long can I stand defiant
Seems after I've been through it all
Am I destined now, finally to fall?
Will I fall on these foreign shores
Jesus, my Savior, the Battle is Yours

Because the battles just don't end
Oh dear Lord, here we go again
I stand in the Grace You alone send

Seems I only can swing Your Sword
Because I'm lifted by You Lord
As wave after wave rocks my Life
Sinking in the mire of  constant strife
And pain blinds my eyes as I fight
Endless battle through the dark of night
Heal my heart, God, I stand for You
Your Grace alone will see me through

Because the battles just don't end
Oh dear Lord, here we go again
I stand in the Grace You alone send

I stand to fight, the end I cannot see
As the enemy rushed to surround me
Though they bring all the Hordes of Hell
Though those around me all have fell
I stand, because you once stood in my place
I stand, I'm rising on Your Holy Grace
For I'll leave when I've finished my chores
I know that this battle, Lord is Yours

Because the battles just don't end
Oh dear Lord, here we go again
I stand in the Grace You alone send

I know it's not the battles I've fought
That will bring me the peace I've sought
I know this present suffering isn't in vain
For to live is for Christ, oh death will be gain
Watch the mountains all crumble down
As the angels lift a trumpet's sound
I will battle with all I'm worth
So the Son may find faith on earth

For here the Battle, it's finally done
As I fall in the arms of God's Son
This is the instant, eternity has begun
The battle's been won,
As Eternity is begun
Amen

About this poem

18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that[a] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8: 18-25
