Analysis of somewhere still

Edward L. Canavan 1971 (New York)

caressing
the outside
edges

drawn
to the darkness
of being

there are places in the mind
for the heart to stand alone

and be right with it
and be silent

to find
the deeper shade
of soul

amidst the cacophonous minutiae
of everything all at once.
