Analysis of Where Does

Where does the future go,
When the past is left behind?
And how do you really know,
What it is you really want?
Always taking a few steps back,
Getting stuck in rewind.

Where does the past go,
When the future is the here now?
And how do you really know,
When it's right,if it never existed before?
You skip in time to what would've been,
Leaving behind what should've been.

Where do the moments go,
Here this minute,gone the next,
Disappearing without a show.
You're stuck in the moments of uncertainty,
Chasing towards thin air,
Hoping to find your identity,
But your chasing endlessly
For what? You have yet to know.
