Analysis of What I want
Airric 1965 (nc)
The sun sets
ending another day
and i grow weary
wanting to lay myself to rest
sleeping a deep sleep
without worry or concern
no pain nor sorrow
waiting, wanting or searching
Just a peaceful rest
till i, one day again
recover the will to
keep going
maybe what i want
or crave is unattainable
possibly it doesnt exist
or maybe just not for me
I know it's out there
seeing it all around me
every second of the day
with every turn of my head
but when i get close
and what i search for
is just within my reach
it slips thru my fingers
so with each passing day
i sit and watch the sun set
and feel my life slipping away
farther and farther from happiness
some say to love and have lost
is far better to have never loved at all
but to me, losing a love
is the most painful of all
