Analysis of I Wasn't Looking
I Wasn't Looking
By Donald James Kirby
Nothing can change my mind about you,
I'm so caught up in this love anew.
I know it's forever and you're here to stay,
I know you will see me through every day.
Though dreams drift by I never seem to forget,
I still look back to the day we met.
And I reminisce the look in your eyes,
The day when your love took me by surprise.
I Wasn't Looking and my defenses were down,
And today I find you in your wedding gown.
I Wasn't Looking-To love I was blind,
And now you've got me going out of my mind.
I said I'd never be anyone's fool again,
Yet so easily to your love I did give in.
The magic of your touch just melted my heart,
Somehow Love found a place to Start.
I Wasn't Looking-To fill the void,
where lost love had left me-so paranoid.
I Wasn't Looking-for someone at all,
Yet so suddenly, to your Love-I did fall.
