Analysis of American Pride

He served his country with the heart of a lion ,willing to do all he was ask and more.Three tours of Iraq, Afganastan and back.An accident took out his career with a wound they called disabled and took away his life.Alive ,oh yes he is very much so ,but the Army told him there would be no more for him,They said sorry son but you no longer have what it takes .He can walk, run, and do more than most eighteen year olds and he is still so very young ! I've seen soldiers with prostectic limbs still on active duty ,why my son ,why take away his love? The only thing he loved more was God and family! He studied family history  a legacy of each anscestor's service! He became each one of them and more .Then Uncle Sam says with nearly a handshake your out the door! Twenty eight years old and what will he do?, Sell Chevies or cellphones to Joe citizen with not a clue.He can stll serve he tells me his father, but they give no second chances ,just papers that say ,at a boy soldier ,go give em hell ! Not realizing that they have just sentenced him to exactly that .Thanks for your service he hears all the time ,and he appreciates it coming form those he fought to protect, but it hurts all the same because he knows he can still protect them except for the edict of Uncle Sam.My son is a man who has lost his dream because of a group of uncaring called the Green Machine! Have you been there?, Do you understand?, It's his way of being a man. You may say he can get rehab and start anew, but I tell you it is his life ,it's all he knew! it is all he wants in this screwed up world .Just to fight for God and country and  protect .................me and you
